Those of you who have attended our meetings recently will be aware of our recent defibrillator training. Hand on Heart are a Warrington-based charity which funds the provision of defibrillators in primary and secondary schools as well as ensuring that school staff are trained to operate them safely. On average 12 children die each week from cardiac arrest. Sometimes this is unexpected, but it is always tragic. Using a defibrillator and CPR within 3-5 minutes from the cardiac arrest starting can raise the survival rates from 6% to 74% and potentially save 9 children from sudden death. You can read more on Hand on Heart’s website, but we hope that all our members will take 5 minutes to visit our Just Giving page by clicking on the button below and donating. Even if you can’t donate, please share our post or page with your friends on social media. It all helps! Help us save a child.
